Living in Bogo City
Bogo City is a small City in Northern Cebu Province.
It is a quiet and clean place to live. Most important it is relatively safe. It have been a long time since I felt as safe living in a place as I do here.
It is a fishing and farming community but of course has a business district too.
There are many of schools though I don’t think any are considered international schools.
Bogo City is on the edge of the Jungle and I like it that way. The only negative is that it is a two and a half hour bus ride to Cebu City. Some things you just can’t get in Bogo. For instance, if you want a cigar it is a 120Km mile ride. That alone may give you some insight into rural Philippines. But it isn’t as bleak as that may make it seem.
The other downside is that we have too many power failures. I’ve written about those on this site and even have a journal to detail the frequencies of the brownouts and other utility problems here.
Recently I put together some video clips of my time in Bogo City.
I also wrote a blog entry that gives additional details on Bogo City. You can visit that page here.

there are cigars for sale at the new public market. just ask where the tobacco section is. these are only local made, but hey, they are still cigars.
